Popular Nigerian skit maker and actor, Broda Shaggi, has made a return to social media after being away from the public space for some time, and his comeback has sparked excitement among fans.
Fans flooded the comment section with messages of relief and celebration after the comedian shared a video via his official Instagram page on Saturday.
But while many were simply happy to see him again, something else in the video caught the attention of social media users.
Broda Shaggi appeared dressed in what looks like a hospital robe, leaving fans wondering about his current state of wellbeing.
It is not certain if the video is an old recording from when he was receiving treatment or content recently filmed.
For now, Broda Shaggi has not publicly explained the circumstances surrounding the hospital setting or given details about his health, leaving fans with more questions than answers.
However, he posted on Friday via a WhatsApp channel, where the comedian acknowledged concerns over his absence and thanked fans who continued to check on him, support him and wait for his return.
He said their patience and loyalty had meant more to him than he could express.
“To everyone who’s still here… waiting, checking in, showing love, and holding me down even through the silence, thank you. I don’t think y’all truly understand how much that means to me.
“Even when I haven’t been able to show up the way I wanted to, knowing that y’all are still here has meant more than I can put into words,” he wrote.
He vowed to return stronger.
His return to social media came a day after Third Lens published a story inquiring about his whereabouts and the prolonged silence from the comedian.
Now that he has finally appeared, attention has shifted from “Where is Broda Shaggi?” to “Is Broda Shaggi okay?”
Fans are celebrating his return, but many are also hoping to get a clearer update on his wellbeing.
