Social media commentator, Justice Chidiebere, popularly known as JusticeCrack, has narrated his ordeal while in detention.

The embattled activist explained that officials of the Defence Intelligence Agency, DIA, had abducted him while disguising themselves as operatives of the Department of State Services, DSS.

JusticeCrack made this known in a post on X on Tuesday, insisting that he was subjected to inhumane treatment during his detention.

According to him, he was blindfolded and handcuffed for three days, kept under the scorching sun during the day and locked in a freezing cold room at night.

He further claimed that the intervention of Nigerians who demanded answers over his whereabouts prevented him from disappearing without trace.

“JusticeCrack has never been cracked and will never be cracked. I was abducted by the DIA, who disguised themselves as DSS officers when they came to arrest me.

“It was only after Nigerians started speaking out and demanding answers that they eventually took me to the DSS. Their intention was to make me disappear, and if Nigerians had not intervened, I might have been gone forever.

“After three days of inhumane treatment, it is important for me to state that I was blindfolded and handcuffed throughout those three days. During the day, I was kept under the scorching sun, and at night, I was locked in a freezing cold room.

“Because this matter is still in court, I am limited in what I can say for now. However, the truth is that it was the DIA that abducted me and took me to the CIC. I only became aware of this after I was transferred to the DSS, where it was revealed to me,” he said.

The Federal Government on Monday opened its case against the social media influencer by calling its first witness.

Mark was initially arraigned by the Department of State Services (DSS) on May 4 on a three-count charge.

On May 18, the court granted him bail in the sum of N5 million with additional conditions attached.

The office of the directorate of public prosecutions (DPP) later took over the prosecution of the case on May 14.

However, he pleaded not guilty to the charges.

The judge thereafter adjourned the matter until September 28 for continuation of the hearing.
