The Lagos State Health District III on Thursday organised a comprehensive medical outreach for members of staff as part of efforts to promote preventive healthcare, early detection of health conditions and overall staff wellbeing.

Speaking during the exercise held at the District’s Headquarters, Ikoyi, the Permanent Secretary, Health District III, Dr. Monsurat Adeleke said the initiative reminds healthcare workers to prioritise their own health while serving the public, adding that regular checks are key to early detection of silent conditions like hypertension, high cholesterol among others.

Dr. Adeleke explained that the inclusion of dental services, such as scaling and polishing and tooth extraction, alongside other clinical services, underscored the District’s commitment to promoting holistic healthcare urging staff to take advantage of available services and adopt healthy lifestyles.

She commended the members of staff for their dedication in providing quality healthcare to Lagosians saying a healthy and motivated workforce is better positioned to deliver efficient, compassionate and responsive healthcare services to the residents.
